Prologue:
The summer heat in Bangalore is getting intense, and like many of you, we were also searching for a nearby escape where we could unwind without burning a hole in our pocket.
Right then we received an invitation from Suggee Resort for a complimentary stay there for a night, savouring food and enjoying all of their activities ( came to know later they have 40+ of those!).
We wanted a quick weekend break with family – somewhere peaceful, green, and close enough from Bangalore for my mother and mother-in-law to be able to join us! So I quickly checked the review of the resort on Google! I wanted to make sure to not be associated with something that does not have good standards! That is not good for the brand “The Urban Nomad”, you all trust. But this was not an issue here at all as I could find their rating is very good with plenty of positive reviews by customers.
So on a bright and sunny Sunday, five of us started our journey for the Suggee Resort!
Note: You can watch our entire experience as a vlog format here!
First Impressions – Green, Spacious & Pleasantly Surprising
The first thing that struck us was how spacious and green the property was. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting something this big tucked away in Anekal. Tall trees, landscaped gardens, and flowering plants everywhere, and everything is very well maintained. It felt like a small oasis just outside the concrete jungle of Bangalore.

And even though the day was very sunny, there were enough shaded spaces around where you could just sit and relax.
We were welcomed with a refreshing sugar cane juice with ginger – much needed in that heat! And yes no soda or artificial drink!
Stay Options – Comfortable Rooms, Quiet Corners
After the welcome drink, we all went to the rooms to drop our luggage!
Suggee resort provided the Nirvana Room as complimentary – which is quite spacious, tastefully done decor, and has amenities like mini fridge, AC,TV. Also the toilet was huge and clean! Sanjivani stayed in this room with her grand-mothers while I and Anindita took shelter in another room!
Our room Malgoba was in another corner of the property amidst more greenery! The room on the first floor had two balconies. One with a common entrance that overlooks the garden. The other balcony is private and it is a surprise! There is a big bird cage, where they have preserved many colorful birds!

Malgoba-2 is not as big as Nirvana but we like the cozy feeling and I and Anindita would like to check in there when we visit Suggee Resort again! ( This is suitable only for couples and families that do not need an extra bed!). We paid Rs 3400 per head per night for this room.
Other than these two types, they have quite a few other stay options – from tents and cottages to rooms like the Nirvana or Maloba. You can find the latest options and tariffs here, in Suggee Resort Website.

All of the packages are inclusive of two major meals, breakfast and high tea! All activities except few are also included!
If you are not looking for stay options and want to come here for day trip, the packages start from Rs1350.
But my suggestion is “Stay”, and you will thank me later!
And YES you can stay with your furry friends as Suggee Resort is pet friendly!
Food – Nice Spread with Beautiful Dining Experience!
It was already lunchtime and we felt hungry! So headed straight to the dining area!
The dining area was packed, which clearly showed that Suggee is quite popular for day trips.
There are two indoor dining halls with buffet servings! Big enough to accommodate around 200 – 300 guests ( my estimate).
But we had our lunch under the shade of a mango tree – a lovely open air setting, honestly.

The spread was decent with a lot of south and north Indian options. Our family relished the food! There is a live counter as well which prepares fresh food right in front of you!
While I personally found the chicken soup a bit salty, the butter chicken and tawa fish later in the evening made up for it.
Dinner was served at the same place with all the trees decorated with lights and it was magical! Simple pleasures like that really make a difference!
Breakfast the next morning was a typical South Indian affair – idlis, dosas, upma, and also some continental options like cornflakes, bread, eggs and cut fruits.
Overall, the food was nice with a little scope of improvement.
Activities – Great for Families with Kids (and Pets!)
After lunch my mother decided to take a rest, while the rest of use proceeded straight towards the adventure zone!
There’s quite a bit to do here – from rope activities, archery, Zipline, Zorbing, archery, rock climbing to swimming pool, rain dance, and a bunch of open spaces for kids to run around. I can not write all here, please check their website if you want.

Sanjivani was the most excited among us – she almost completed all the rope courses and other adventure re activities including air cycling etc. She was just running from one activity to another!
We paid Rs150 for the ATV ride ( one of the three paid activities) and it was nice, I wish the track was a little longer!
Suggee resort has a massive rain dance arena and we could see plenty of guests enjoying it. But we gave it a pass!
An evening to remember!
We were too tired after the activities, so came back to our room and took some nice rest! Later in the evening, we again went out to roam around the property!
By this time all day trippers left and the temperature was dipping. So the entire place became very calm and relaxing! We enjoyed strolling around the property and it was an awesome experience!
Dining area and other areas are decorated nicely by subtle lightning and that creates a magical aura!

There was even a bonfire and the best part was without music! Yes, in most places they just kill the mood by playing loud music!
After the bonfire we had our dinner and returned to the rooms! The night was so peaceful that we slept like babies!
You remember I suggested earlier to stay for a night! This is the reason! The days are awesome but the evenings are magical at the Suggee Resort.
Final Verdict – Is Suggee Resort Worth It?
If you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway from Bangalore with family and pets, Suggee Resort fits the criteria!. It’s pet-friendly, easy on the pocket, surrounded by greenery, and has enough to keep both adults and kids engaged.
Yes, the food needs a little attention, but honestly, at this price point, it’s a pretty decent package.
Would I go back again? Probably yes – especially if I’m looking for a relaxed day trip or an overnight break with minimal travel.
